Several large projects, with a total of nearly $1 million budgeted, were <br />completed in this fiscal year, including the Shade Sail Structure Picnic Area at Dos <br />Vientos Community Center, athletic light improvements at Thousand Oaks Community <br />Center, amenities relocation phase II at Conejo Community Center and others. <br />Additional notable completed projects include Disc Golf Course at Thousand Oaks <br />Community Center, scoreboard installations at Thousand Oaks and Borchard <br />Community Centers, removal of asphalt basketball court and replacement at <br />Thousand Oaks Community Center. The Park Ranger Office relocation to Hillcrest <br />Center is anticipated to be completed by mid June 2010. <br />On May 28, 2009, the Board approved a two-year Capital Improvement Budget, which <br />included the second year Fiscal Year 2010-11. The Capital Improvement Project <br />Stagecoach Inn Museum Miscellaneous Upgrades was included as part of the second <br />year (Fiscal Year 2010-11). However, in order to complete the improvements in time <br />for the Fiesta del Triunfo Ball in mid-July 2010, it is necessary to appropriate the <br />$25,000 project budget from the Capital Project Fund balance this fiscal year. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Short, and carried 5-0 to approve Master <br />Plan revisions, and provide direction to staff on the recommended updated <br />Capital Improvement Project Budget for Fiscal Year 2010-11. The Public <br />Hearing for final budget adoption is scheduled for June 17, 2010 <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Short, and carried 5-0 to appropriate $25,000 <br />from Capital Project Fund balance to accelerate Stagecoach Inn Museum <br />Miscellaneous Upgrades from Fiscal Year 2010-11 to Fiscal Year 2009-10. <br />Friedl commended Hare for his ability to successful manage and advance capital <br />projects. <br />C. Resolution No. 052010-B Requesting Consolidation of November 2, 2010 <br />Election <br />Friedl reviewed relevant information. The regular District election for the purpose of <br />electing three members to the Board of Directors is scheduled for November 2, 2010. <br />In order to consolidate the election on that date, it is necessary that the Board adopt a <br />resolution ordering consolidation to be filed with the Clerk of the Ventura Board of <br />Supervisors. He said staff recommendation is the adoption of Resolution No. 052010- <br />B, which he noted was modified slightly from previous such resolutions to address the <br />unlikely event of a tie vote. <br />
