Election of Board Officers and Confirmation of Board Appointments and Assignments Friedl noted that, traditionally at this time of year, the Board conducts its annual organizational meeting, including election of chair and vice chair and considers appointments and assignments for 2010. He said that the Civic Center Authority and Teen Center Services Authority assignments are both inactive and there is no need to assign a director to these positions. The fixed term appointment set to expire is Gibson's seat on the Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA). It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Lange, and carried unanimously to nominate Gibson to serve as Chair. It was moved by Short, seconded by Lange and carried unanimously to close the nominations. The election of Gibson as Chair was declared unanimous. Board members expressed appreciation to Holt for her service as Chair and well representing the District in community activities. Friedl presented Holt with a ceremonial chair. Holt thanked staff and the Board for their support. Gibson assumed the position of Chair. It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Holt, and carried unanimously to nominate Short to serve as Vice Chair. lfwas moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried unanimously to close the nominations. The election of Short as Vice Chair was declared unanimous. Short thanked the Board for its confidence. It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried " to make the following changes to Board appointments and assignments: Re-elect Gibson to a 4 -year term on the Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA), Eliminate the Civic Center Authority and the Teen Center and Services Authority Committees,
