He said staff would strive to reduce water consumption. <br />Board members commended Hare and all those involved for their efforts. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Jones, and carried 5-0 to: <br />1. Authorize General Manager to execute the Playfield Construction and <br />Development Condition Buy -Out Agreement. <br />2. Authorize General Manager to execute Certificate of Acceptance and <br />deliver it to escrow. <br />3. Authorize General Manager to accept the assignment of consultant <br />contracts with Pacific Coast Civil Engineering, John Innes Landscape <br />Architecture, and Geolabs conditional on the closing of escrow. <br />B. Conejo Valley Days — 2011 Annual Agreement and Permit Conditions, Conejo <br />Creek Park <br />Francis M. Akrey, president of Conejo Valley Activities Corporation (CVAC), spoke in <br />support of Conejo Valley Days (CVD). He provided background information, and said <br />CVAC focuses on fundraising opportunities for non-profit organizations. <br />Hare referenced the 2011 Annual Agreement and 2011 Permit Conditions. He said <br />that a goal is to provide a venue at a reasonable fee while minimizing damage and <br />down time at the site. <br />Highlights from the 2011 CVD Agreement and Permit include: <br />1.) CVAC has exclusive use of Conejo Creek Park South from Monday, May 2, <br />2011 to 12:00 pm Thursday, May 12, 2011 <br />2.) CVD payment to the District of $15,500 <br />3.) CVD shall pay the District an additional $1,500 for each day or fraction thereof <br />beyond 12:00 pm, Thursday, May 12, 2011 that the premises have not been restored <br />to as good condition as when received by CVD. <br />Hare noted that in Section 8, third paragraph of the Permit Conditions the words "to <br />determine the net proceeds due the DISTRICT as defined herein" are to be deleted. <br />He explained that the event will include both equestrian and motocross elements. The <br />equestrian and motocross events will be held on School District property. In response <br />to Gibson's inquiry, Akrey said that CVAC has an agreement with the School District <br />approved by their Board for the rodeo and motocross elements. <br />
