Proposed 2013 Board of Directors Meeting Schedule Friedl introduced the proposed calendar, indicating the need to move meetings from the traditional 1st and 3`d Thursdays of the month to 2nd and Ott' Thursdays, with the exception of October and November, due to conflicts with scheduled conferences and holidays. It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0 to adopt the 2013 Conejo Recreation and Park District Board of Directors meeting schedule as presented. 8. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION 9. NEW ITEMS A. Proposed Verizon Wireless Cellular Communication Facilities at Conejo Community Park (CCP) and Wildflower Playfield (WFP) Hare introduced the item, stating the two proposed facilities agreements are similar to other such agreements approved by the Board in the past. Both facilities are within 1500 feet of a school property; therefore, as per Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) board policy, public agencies are requested to notify CVUSD in such instances. The CVUSD Superintendent was notified of the proposals and an "all call' was sent out to all parents of children attending Redwood Middle School and Wildwood Elementary School, with Hare listed as the point of contact at CRPD. Hare received 15 emails (copies provided in supplemental information this evening); nine emails indicated opposition and six sought additional information. The CGP facility is 1460 feet from school property and the WFP is 1190 feet from the school property. Two Verizon Wireless representatives were available for questions.
