Lewanda made note of a few proposed <br />adjustments, including funding for a Groundsworker II at Dos Vientos (Del Prado) <br />Playfield, which will be funded from the Dos Vientos assessment. The Equipment <br />Replacement fund is up and running with vehicles and computer equipment — the <br />intent is to bring Recreation into the process for some new equipment (approx. <br />$165K) <br />Lewanda answered various questions posed by Board members. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the Banyan Community outreach meeting was held on <br />Wednesday, May 301h with approximately 60 people in attendance. The <br />park plan was very well received. Hare will come back to the Board on June <br />21st with a draft master plan. Environmental Construction Inc. (ECI) has <br />started work on the parking expansion at Rancho Conejo Playfield which <br />should continue into the beginning of July. Hare will attend an HOA meeting <br />on Monday, June 11th to respond to any questionslconcems neighboring <br />residents may have. Work on Oakbrook Neighborhood Park is set to <br />commence in the next few weeks. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported on a great start to the summer concert series; about 2,500 <br />people attended the Neil Diamond tribute concert on Memorial Day. Last <br />year's Teen Summer Musical, "Chicago," received the "Outstanding <br />Production" award from the 7th Annual National Youth Arts Awards. This <br />particular show won a total of six awards. The awards ceremony will be at <br />7:30 pm on June 17th at Newport Harbor High School. This year's Young <br />Artist's Ensemble musical is "Cabaret." Day camps and aquatics programs <br />begin next Monday and the following week. The "Senior of the Year" awards <br />were held at Goebel Senior Adult Center this evening. <br />
