March 29, 2012 <br />Page 4 <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported the next Fireside Concert is April 13th — performers are <br />listed in the Recreation Highlights handout. The Teen Center will be <br />presenting at the NRPA Congress in October in Anaheim. Tomorrow night <br />the CPRS District VIII Awards and Installation will be held — see Recreation <br />Highlights for details regarding awards to be presented. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported that a Lang Ranch Community Input planning meeting was <br />held last Wednesday where staff presented a concept plan. The plan will be <br />brought for Board approval to a special Board meeting on April 5th. Dennis <br />Gillette's retirement party is scheduled for May 1st at CLU. Board members <br />should be receiving invitations shortly. Friedl announced there will be a <br />need for a closed session and no announcement is expected. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Holt attended the CPRS conference in Long Beach. She brought back <br />some information for various staff members. This morning, Holt, Friedl and <br />Lewanda attended an economic forum held at CLU. <br />Jones attended CPRS in Long Beach last week and participated in the <br />Rotary work day last Saturday. <br />Lange reported making two presentations recently to classes at CLU. One <br />to an environmental literature class with Matt Kouba — the topic was CRPD, <br />and a second one made with Amy Lethbridge from MRCA. <br />12.
