Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced Recreation Highlights. Day camps start next week. There are <br />many fun activities scheduled for the 4th of July. Cindy Powers, former RSVP (now <br />CSVP) is leaving the District; her last day will be tomorrow. She has agreed to <br />assist in selecting her replacement. Her almost ten years of service have been most <br />appreciated. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported auditors were here this week for interim work; due to Accounting <br />Supervisor Massie's thorough preparation, they spent only two days at the office and <br />found nothing of reportable interest. They will be back in September. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl absent. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange reported on two recent court decisions in MRCA's favor; a judge ruled the City <br />of Whittier couldn't sign leases with oil companies to drill on acreage that is <br />designated open space; additionally, a judge ruled a developer must allow hikers to <br />use the popular Hastain Trail across his private property in Franklin Canyon <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />12. REQUEST FOR STATUS REPORTS AND ITEMS FOR SUBSEQUENT AGENDAS <br />Huffer enjoyed attending the Senior Award dinner this evening. <br />Lange and Jones attended the VCSDA meeting on June 4th, hosted by the Rancho <br />Simi Recreation and Park District at Stratheam Historical Park. Last Saturday, <br />Lange attended the State Parks Foundation Golden Poppy Awards, held at the Will <br />Rogers State Historic Park. <br />
