Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club's "Chili Cook -Off' will be held this <br />Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm at Conejo Creek North. Staff has been meeting on a <br />regular basis with Chili Cook -Off representatives and all are looking forward to a <br />successful event. This Saturday is the Off Leash Area (OLA) ribbon cutting <br />ceremony at Walnut Grove Park. The OLA at Estella Park was completed <br />yesterday and is now open for business. The space on Reino Road, identified at <br />the Strategic Study session as a possible area for use by CRPD, is unlikely to be of <br />use due to parking issues. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis referenced Recreation Highlights. Registration for summer programs begins <br />tomorrow at 6:00 am. The Conejo Center Outdoor Unit will have a family campout <br />this weekend at Wlldwood Park; 120 people have signed up. The McCrea Ranch <br />Barn Sale is this Saturday. Callis thanked the Board members for attending the <br />Districtwide Music Festivals. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported the May 19th Board meeting will be cancelled due to the CARPD <br />Annual Conference occurring at the same time; Friedl and three CRPD Board <br />members are attending the conference. The 2016 Thousand Oaks "Senior of the <br />Year" event is scheduled for June 2"d — although there is a CRPD Board meeting <br />that evening, Board members are welcome and encouraged to attend for the first <br />portion of the program, which begins at 5:30 pm, On the same evening as the <br />second CRPD Board meeting in June, there will be a Chumash Center Open <br />House — June 16th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm; Board members are encouraged to attend <br />and dinner will be served. Friedl thanked Board members for their attendance and <br />input at the Strategic Study session on April 9th. Next Saturday, April 30th, is Play <br />Conejo's 2"d annual fundraiser, "Prom— again." <br />E. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange referenced the invitation all Board members received to the Conejo Valley <br />Days (CVD) Kick -Off. He presented some history and trivia regarding CVD's past. <br />Huffer spoke about the CVD Children's Parade, which is being revived this year <br />10 <br />
