March 17, 2016 <br />Page 3 <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Park Dedication Fee <br />B. Budget Performance Report — February 2016 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported a neighborhood meeting was meld Tuesday evening at Estella Park to talk <br />about the upcoming project there, i.e. transitioning a portion of the park to an Off Leash <br />Area, renovating the playground and tennis court and minor landscaping and fencing <br />Improvements. About six residents attended the meeting and all were very enthusiastic <br />about the plans. Plans have been finalized with Cal Am Water for a mulch giveaway to be <br />held on April 2nd from 8 am — noon at Rancho Conejo Piayfield. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis attended two events today m- the Leprechaun's Lucky Gold Hunt at Thousand Oaks <br />Park and the St. Patrick's Day celebration at the Goebel Adult Community Center. <br />Tomorrow night Therapeutics will hold their annual Bingo and Pie Auction. This Saturday <br />the "Springfest" will be held at Conejo Creek South. The Teen Center is starting a new <br />camp called "Teens Helping Kids"; this inaugural program will be held during the upcoming <br />spring break. Persian New Year is on April 3rd <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported last Tuesday he traveled to Rancho Cucamonga and had lunch with <br />General Managers from other Districts in Southern California to discuss common issues. <br />Friedl will host the same group here at CRPD in July. The plan is to meet 2-3 times a year <br />to network and exchange ideas. The Strategic Plan Study Session with Board members <br />and senior staff is scheduled for Saturday, April 9'' at CLU; breakfast at 8:00 am and study <br />session from 8:30 am to noon. At the next Board meeting on April 7t', Friedl will do some <br />"set up" for the study session, i.e., reviewing recent CRPD history so as to provide some <br />background and assist with planning for the District's future. <br />E. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Holt attended the CPRS Conference in Long Beach last week; she attended some <br />interesting sessions and enjoyed spending some time with CRPD employees Mooney and <br />Tanaka. <br />
