DEFERRED MATTERS 8. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION 9. NEW ITEMS A. Conejo Valley Days — 2016 Annual Agreement and Permit Conditions Friedl reported that thanks to efforts of the Conejo Creek Park Ad hoc committee and representatives of Conejo Valley Days, tonight's agreement is being presented for Board approval. Hare reported this agreement is very similar to last year's with the exception of moving many rides onto the parking lot to limit damage to the sports fields, and modifying fencing so there are two new openings. One extra day has been added to the event as well; CVD will open on a Wednesday instead of a Thursday. Additionally, the payment terms have been reduced from 90 days to 60 days and there is a requirement for pre- and post -event non-profit financial reporting for participating non -profits. John Short, representing CVD, spoke in support of the agreement. He answered Board member's questions and joined with the Board in expressing appreciation at everyone's efforts to make the event successful this year, acknowledging the necessary compromises that have been made; it remains a work in progress. Thanks are due to Mary Catherine McBride for all her efforts, as well. In an effort to interject some "pre -CVD" community activity, Lange reported that on Saturday, May 7th at 9 am there will be a "Conejo Valley Days Children's Parade" at Conejo Creek North. Participants will range from pre-school age to 3'O Grade. It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to authorize the General Manager to execute an agreement with CONEJO VALLEY DAYS.US (CVD.US) for Conejo Valley Days (CVD) for 2016 and accept Permit Conditions.
