CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />November 5, 2015 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Jones called the meeting to order at 7:31 pm and Friedl led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and Lindsey, and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Conejo Disc Golf Club <br />Mike Byrne, President of the Conejo Disc Goff Club, reported the Club recently celebrated its five- <br />year anniversary of grand opening of the T.O. Disc Golf course. Monthly tournaments and small <br />disc golf competitions are held on a regular basis. The club currently has approximately 80 <br />members and is growing. There is a devoted core of volunteers who spend a couple of hours per <br />week on the course, changing baskets to vary the layout. Mike expressed gratitude for CRPD's <br />support and is looking forward to the second disc golf course scheduled to be constructed at Sapwi <br />Trails Community Park. Volunteers are standing by willing to help with this endeavor. Byrne <br />answered Board member's questions and was thanked for his informative report. <br />Conejo Valley Botanic Garden <br />Beverly Brune, President of the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden, reported the Garden is celebrating <br />its 42nd year. Her presentation included a PowerPoint slide show highlighting the garden, its <br />projects and volunteers and some recent additions, such as a new sign, a breakaway bridge and a <br />motorcart. Garden members are currently in the process of drafting a strategic pian. Brune <br />answered Board member's questions and was thanked for her presentation. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />
