October 15, 2015 <br />Page 5 <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />No report. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reference Recreation Highlights; the latest brochure has been published and <br />mailed to residents; registration begins next Friday. Attendance at "Reign of Terror" is up <br />20%, so far, from last year. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported the Ad Hoc Committee on Conejo Creek South and User Groups has had <br />one meeting; their next meeting will be on October 21st and will include Conejo Valley Days <br />representatives. Dates for the CVD event are currently fluid; CRPD staff is doing their best <br />to accommodate the various dates that have been suggested. Friedl recently met with <br />Larry Peterson, Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District's General Manager; Peterson <br />showed Friedl that District's new, recently -purchased 80,000 sq. -ft. building, which is <br />expected to be used for community center space, administrative offices and <br />vehicles/fleet/shop. Next Friday Friedl will travel to Sacramento for a CARPD Legislative <br />Committee meeting. Tom will serve as acting General Manager beginning this evening <br />until next Monday night, while Friedl is traveling out of state. Friedl commended Hare on <br />all his hard work on the various agenda items brought to the Board this evening. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange reported the Metropolitan Water District is offering a special educational) <br />informational tour; both he and Director Jones will be attending. Lange will attend the <br />Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy meeting on October 26 h. Lange and Jones will <br />attend the City of Agoura Hills State of the City address and luncheon on October 28th. <br />The Holts, Gibsons, Jones' and Langes all attended the Ride -On fundraiser in Chatsworth <br />last Saturday evening. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange attended the MRCA Board Meeting last week. Lange and Gibson attended the <br />VCSDA dinner meeting at the Seabee Navy base in Ventura on October 6th. Jones <br />attended the Conejo Las Virgenes Futures Foundation "10 x 10" event at the Library and <br />found it very informative. Jones was at "Bark in the Park" last Saturday. <br />12.
