Parks Division Report <br />Hare reminded Board members of the Rotary Dreamcatcher Playground ribbon cutting at <br />Old Meadows Park this Saturday, July 18"' at 10:00 am. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced Recreation Highlights and remarked on a very successful 4th of July - <br />there was an all-time high attendance (500 people) at the Pancake Breakfast. Conversely, <br />the Home Run Derby was on the low side re: attendance. There was a problem with <br />synchronization of the fireworks during the show's finale; the District was reimbursed for the <br />shells that didn't fire. Lindsey reminded Board members of the Concert in the Park this <br />Sunday. She also reviewed the upcoming schedule of events with regard to the Special <br />Olympics coming to town next week. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported last Monday a second, follow-up meeting was held with Conejo Creek South <br />Park stakeholder groups. The Thousand Oaks Rotary Club is considering holding their <br />annual Chili Cook Off at Conejo Creek North Park. The City is looking at moving Arbor <br />Earth Day from Conejo Creek North to Thousand Oaks Community Park. Conejo Valley <br />Days and the Oakheart County Music Festival are both looking at revising their layout so as <br />to minimize impact to the sports fields at Conejo Creek South. Looking ahead, Friedl <br />suggested cancelling the September 17th Board meeting given there will not be a quorum; <br />Board members agreed and the meeting will be canceled. Hare will be acting GM during <br />Friedl's absence from July 17 to July 22. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Gibson referenced the AWAVC's upcoming Elected Official's Night at the Reagan Library <br />
