Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reminded the Board about upcoming events Touch -A -Truck on Saturday, <br />June 20 at the Thousand Oaks Community Center, Wildwood Trail Run on Saturday, <br />June 27, and the Fourth of July activities. Day camps started this week and summer <br />programs start on Monday, June 22. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl announced that the community garden is having an open house on Saturday, <br />June 20th at 10:00 a.m. Hare has been working on an agreement with CVUSD to <br />provide futsal courts at Los Cerritos School for CVU, using underutilized tennis courts. <br />The School District is interested in moving forward. The bulk of the funding will come <br />from CVU. On Monday, June 8, CRPD staff had a meeting with the user groups at <br />Conejo Creek South,, including the Rotary clubs that put on the Oakheart Country <br />Music Festival and the Chili Cook -Off, as well as the group that puts on Conejo Valley <br />Days, and soccer organizations, Relay for Life, and the CVUSD. It was pointed out that <br />the Master Plan for Conejo Creek South envisioned the large rides being in the parking <br />lot. The past use of heavy vehicles and rides is having a negative effect on the turf and <br />results in expensive repairs. The groups were encouraged to think about ways events <br />can be run utilizing the parking lot for heavy rides and using the grass for vendor tents. <br />They were also encouraged. the to work together to better schedule the events to <br />reduce impact on the park. Staff is meeting with the groups again on July 13. Friedl <br />thanked Hare and staff for handling the neighborhood meeting at Russell Dark so well. <br />We have a need for a closed session. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange discussed a meeting he will be attending on Monday with the Los Angeles <br />County Metropolitan Transportation Special Group, the third meeting of the Technical <br />Advisory Committee, On June 27, the Reagan Library is hosting the Ventura County <br />Association of Radio Ham Operators field day. The City is having the Defeat the <br />Drought event also on June 27, which Hare will be attending. <br />
