June 4, 2015 <br />Page 3 <br />Lewanda explained this MRCA Preliminary Budget will allow MRCA spending authority <br />until the final budget is adopted. It was approved by the SMMC on Monday night, by <br />the MRCA on Wednesday afternoon, and is being brought to the Rancho Simi <br />Recreation & Park Board of Directors for their approval this evening. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) Preliminary Budget <br />for Fiscal Year 2015-16 as presented. <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Goebel Senior Center Commission Meeting Minutes — April 2015 <br />B. Activity Summary Reports — January, February & March 2015 <br />11, DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the Oakheart Country Music Festival will be held this Saturday at Conejo <br />Creek South Park (CCS). Next Monday, CRPD staff will meet with the stakeholders of <br />CCS, including representatives from Conejo Valley Days, the Chili Cook -Off and Relay <br />for Life, with the goal of working collaboratively and engendering discussion regarding <br />future events and efforts to protect the fields at CCS. Hare announced Park Planner <br />Denise Johns will be leaving the District next week for a new job in Snohomish, <br />Washington. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported the annual Art Walk will be held this weekend. She referenced <br />information provided the Board this evening regarding the upcoming World Special <br />Olympics. The calendar of events includes a Welcome Reception on July 21r# and a <br />Community Barbecue on July 22nd <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported the auditors will be in next week to do interim work on the CRPD <br />and MBCA audits. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported there is a need for closed session this evening with no report expected. <br />
