May 21, 2015 <br />Page 4 <br />General Manager's approval limit from 30K to 45K. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Huffer, and carried 3-2 (Holt and Lange <br />voting no) to adopt the amended purchasing policy, as revised, i.e., the limits on <br />the General Manager's approval authority will not increase to $45K and will <br />remain at $30K. <br />10. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />No report. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced Recreation Highlights. This Monday, May 250', will kick off the <br />Summer Concert Series. Day camps begin on June 150i and Summer Programs start <br />on June 22" o. Two senior center commission members are part of a group of seniors <br />nominated for the "Senior of the Year" award. The dinner and awards ceremony is <br />scheduled for June 4h. All Board members are invited; please RSVP to Aline. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl acknowledged the presence, at Conejo Valley Days, of the CRPD Booth, <br />highlighting our partner museums. The booth also served as home base for Grand <br />Marshall Lange. The Rancho Potrero ribbon cutting went well. Last week, Friedl <br />attended the 2015 CARPD conference with Lange. Several letters, signed by Chair <br />Jones, have been sent recently supporting SB 317 (de Leon.) The District has been <br />asked to write another letter to legislators to continue this effort; to this end, Chair <br />Jones signed a letter this evening. The Gratitude Circle Ceremony was held last <br />Monday evening; recipients were gracious and appreciative of the honor. The COSCA <br />Board of Directors will be meeting next Wednesday; the agenda will include a <br />discussion of the Rim of the Valley Trail. Friedl reported the need for a Closed Session <br />with no report expected. <br />
