CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />May 7, 2015 <br />7.30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Jones called the meeting to order at 7;30 pm; former CTO Mayor, Richard Hus, led the flag <br />salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and Lindsey and <br />Administrative Assistant Hessman <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Young Athlete Award -- Holly Maine <br />Jones, Lange and Huffer each made remarks highlighting Maine's athletic career. It was <br />noted that Maine, nominated by the Conejo Valley Sports Advisory Council, represented <br />the United States as a member of the Lifesaving World Championships in France <br />September 2014, and at age 14 was the youngest person to ever do so. Casey Graham, <br />teacher at Newbury Park High School, was introduced as one of Maine's coaches and he <br />acknowledged Maine's outstanding achievements in "Surf Lifesaving." <br />Maine thanked the Board for this recognition. <br />Board members congratulated and wished Maine well in her future endeavors. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to approve the Agenda as <br />presented. <br />S. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
