CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />February 19, 2015 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Jones called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and Huffer led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present. Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrator Hare, Recreation Services <br />Manager Coleman and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Thousand Oaks Teen Center <br />Micah Akerson, Teen Services Director, introduced Hannah Santos and Taylor Lovullo, <br />Thousand Oaks High School students and members of the Teen Center Advisory Committee. <br />They gave a PowerPoint presentation, which included a review of the Teen Center's mission <br />statement, programs offered, including sports leagues, teen leadership club, dances, concerts, <br />special events, excursions, their use of social media and future goals. Board member's <br />questions were answered, and the Teen Center representatives were thanked for their <br />informative presentation. Coleman praised'Akerson for his hard work and efforts during this, <br />his first year, heading up the Teen Center. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Mel Silberberg, Thousand Oaks, expressed concern over any future decisions made by the <br />Board regarding the Quimby fees attached to the Thousand Oaks Specific Plan area. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0 to approve the Agenda as <br />presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of February 5, 2015 Board Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants <br />
