Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey referenced Recreation Highlights; she noted there are quite a few upcoming <br />Valentine's Day -themed events. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reminded Board members that Form 700s must be submitted directly to the <br />County online this year. A tentative date of Monday, May 18th, has been selected for <br />the 2015 Gratitude Circle inductions at Conejo Creek North Park. The City of <br />Thousand Oaks will be formally announcing which countries they will be hosting for the <br />2015 Special Olympics; Friedl recently met with delegates from those countries. Last <br />Saturday, CLU sent a crew from their multi -media marketing class to film at the Old <br />Meadows playground; CLU students also interviewed families of children with special <br />needs. Next Monday, Friedi will attend a focus group meeting to brainstorm about the <br />YMCA. In the near future, he will be meeting with representatives from LAFCO <br />regarding the periodic Sphere of Influence review. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Gibson attended the most recent CARPD Board meeting in Sacramento. The CARPD <br />Annual Conference will be May 14-16 in Lake Tahoe; an excellent program is <br />scheduled, including keynote speaker Steve Garvey. Gibson has been nominated as <br />CARPD's President-elect; therefore, a CRPD Board resolution will be necessary. The <br />AWA has made him incoming Vice President and he was recently named Vice Chair of <br />VECEDA. <br />F Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange attended the most recent SMMC meeting and was reelected as Vice Chair of <br />the Advisory Committee. He attended the MRCA meeting yesterday. He shared a <br />photo of the fountain at the MRCA LA River Center, which is a popular wedding venue. <br />MRCA accepted a 5 -acre donation in the Simi Hills portion of Thousand Oaks. MRCA <br />will become an associate (non-voting) member of CSDA. A MOU was created <br />between MRCA and the City of Los Angeles; the City wants a MRCA staff member to <br />be on the L.A. River Revitalization Committee. MRCA also received a 23 -acre <br />
