Approve Resolution No. 121814-A Adopting Safe Harbors under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) Lewanda stated this resolution allows the District to use the safe harbors that can be utilized to determine when an employee is full time and what affordable means. The resolution allows the General Manager to work on policies related to the use of the safe harbors. Lewanda answered Board member's questions. It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to approve Resolution No. 121814-A adopting safe harbors under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), that it be read in title only and all further readings be waived. D. Board of Directors' "Norms," "Guidelines," and "Processes" Friedl stated these documents were created just over two years ago; all current Board members were involved in their creation. The plan is to annually place it on a December agenda to allow for review, and, if desired, modification. Discussion ensued; the following modification was suggested: In the document "Guidelines", under Number 2.2, "Communications with Administrators and General Staff', Number 2.2.1, add the word "particularly" i.e., ("particularly if press or media is involved.") It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the Board of Directors' "Norms," "Guidelines" and "Processes" as modified. E. Conejo Recreation and Park District 2014 Year -in -Review Friedl reviewed the subject memo and narrated a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the past year's accomplishments.
