June 19, 2014 <br />Page 4 <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported Day Camps and Band Camps started this week. The rest <br />of the District summer programs start next week. The Therapeutics Unit had <br />participants at the Special Olympic Summer Games at USC recently. The <br />female adult basketball team took the gold medal. This means they may be <br />able to participate at World Games in 2015. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported the new auditors have begun the audit process. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported all Board members have been provided with a parking pass <br />for access to Hillcrest Center for the upcoming July 4t" fireworks show. Staff <br />met with Supervisor Linda Parks to share information on the Sapwi Trails <br />Community Park project. Supervisor Parks is working on getting a <br />pedestrian trail along Arroyo Conejo. The parade celebrating the City's 50th <br />anniversary is scheduled for Sept. 27th; Board participation is welcome. The <br />Conejo Valley Tourism Improvement District — which is a collection of hotels <br />in Agoura and T.O. - has put together a strategic marketing and <br />communications plan which Friedl shared with Board members; McCrea <br />Ranch is prominently featured on its cover. The cities of Westlake Village <br />and Agoura Hills are doing really big things with respect to Parks and <br />Recreation, including the construction of the Westlake Park and "Y" and <br />Agoura's 20,000 sq. foot Community Center <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Holt reminded members of the upcoming Triunfo Ball on July 12th at a new <br />location — The Gardens at Los Robles Greens. She also reported <br />September 13th is "Day of the Horse." The members of the Conejo Coalition <br />for Youth and Families are very appreciative of the work done by the CRPD <br />Youth Outreach workers. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on MeetingslConferences Attended <br />On Tuesday, Lange attended the City's tree planting event in celebration of <br />their 50th anniversary. Lange was the guest speaker this morning at the <br />"Conejo Las Virgenes Futures Foundation" meeting at Agoura City Hall. His <br />presentation centered on the MRCA and what they are doing in support of <br />water conservation. <br />
