CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />January 9, 2025 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Nickles called the meeting to order at 6:01pm and he led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Buss, Cusworth, Huffer, Nickles and Orozco <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl; Callis, Recreation and Community Services <br />Director; Mooney, Parks and Planning Director; Smith, Management <br />Services Director (via Zoom); and Reynders, Executive Assistant <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Therapeutics Unit — Inclusion <br />Devon Herbert, Recreation Supervisor, Therapeutic Recreation Unit and Inclusion <br />Services, gave a thorough presentation on Inclusion — what it is and how the District <br />actively promotes inclusive practices. The presentation included a history of the District's <br />move to Inclusion, what is happening now in this regard, and plans for the future. Herbert <br />answered Board member's questions and was thanked for her informative presentation. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of December 5, 2024, Regular Board Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $1,717,129.00 <br />Payroll $1,133,650.00 <br />
