April 10, 2003 <br />Page 4 <br />Concerns were voiced about lack of specificity relative to operation, <br />goals, funding, and governance; some inconsistent or inadequate <br />acquisition criteria; and possible replication of other entities' mandates. <br />A lack of support for the funding mechanism identified in the report was <br />also expressed. <br />In response to a Board request, Ward said that a letter of conditional <br />support for the concepts of open space and agricultural land acquisition <br />and preservation, and an independent entity of appointed members to <br />perform the mission, would be prepared; and the letter would also <br />indicate that the CRPD Board of Directors looks forward to providing <br />input to specific implementation methods. <br />Lange acknowledged Gibson's work on the Committee. <br />10.
