Authorization To Purchase 2002 %-Ton Utility Bed Pickup Truck For <br />$24,681.73 <br />Marchesano provided relevant background information, and stated that staff <br />proposes to utilize the $24,681.73 savings, realized through the competitive <br />bidding process, to purchase a utility bed pickup truck, which would replace a <br />1990 Chevrolet utility bed truck in need of considerable work which does not <br />justify the costlbenefit, and the cost of the new vehicle is expected to be less <br />than $24,681.73. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize staff to purchase a new 2002, 314 —ton utility bed pickup truck <br />to replace asset number 3975, a 1990 Chevrolet utility bed pickup truck; <br />funds available in the 2001-2002 budget within account number 340- <br />4819 ($17,889.73) and number 340-4880 ($6,800) for a total of <br />$24,681.73. <br />9.
