the course(s). <br />D. The District shall pay registration fees for employees authorized to attend <br />District -approved conferences and seminars. <br />E. The District will pay the licensing fee for any employee who is eligible to be <br />licensed for California Department of Food and Agriculture Qualified Applicators <br />Certificate with at least one category obtained for ornamental, turf or rights-of- <br />way. <br />F In September, 1995 and again in March, 1996, the District will administer the <br />Maintenance Worker II Competency Exams to all those employees wishing to <br />take the examination. Those employees who pass the examination will be <br />eligible for a salary adjustment of ten cents an hour in pay for demonstrated <br />competency with respect to performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and <br />concrete work at a skill level commensurate with the Maintenance Worker Il <br />level. An employee with demonstrated competency in all of the four trade skills <br />shall be paid an additional five (5) cents an hour for a total pay rate differential <br />of forty five (45) cents an hour. Recreation and Administrative Division <br />employees, as well as Park Division supervisors, crew leaders, and maintenance <br />workers are not eligible to take the examination. Employees who pass the <br />competency test will have the differential applied on the first full pay period after <br />the test results are made public. After the 1995-1996 fiscal year, the test will be <br />given annually in March. <br />ARTICLE 33 - PERSONAL LEAVE <br />After six (6) months of continuous employment, eligible part time employees shall be <br />granted a benefit in the form of personal leave with pay at a rate set by the Board of <br />Directors. <br />ARTICLE 34 - RETIREMENT <br />A.
