The District shall pay each eligible employee's seven (7°%) percent PERS contribution on service payments made under Section 17.17 of this agreement. Effective July 1, 1991, length -of -service retirees shall receive a benefit of $34.00 per month augmented by $5.00 per year for each year of completed service plus $2.00 per year for each year in retired status. Eligibility for this payment is limited to those employees who provide proof of having filed for retirement within 120 days of separation from active service with the District. "Proof' is defined when the District receives a copy of "Notice of Placement on the Retirement Roll" from PERS. J. Effective July 1, 1991, the district will provide for each employee coverage under the PERS survivors benefit program at the standard level. K.
