Effective July 1, 2001 employees will a two -percent (2%) cost of living <br />increase. <br />J. Effective August 1, 1992, the District will contribute for each employee an <br />amount equal to the average cost of all health plans sponsored by the <br />Public Employees Retirement System including dental and available to <br />District employees. For employees with eligible family members, the <br />District will contribute an amount not less than fifty (50.0%) percent of the <br />average cost of all health plans sponsored by the Public Employees <br />Retirement System including dental for and available to eligible family <br />members of District employees. <br />B. When the total cost of the various coverages totals less than the amount <br />of the contribution, the remaining balance will be added to the salary paid <br />the employee. When the cost exceeds the contribution, the balance <br />needed will be withheld first from the basic needs allowance (ARTICLE <br />27) and secondly from the salary of the employee. When the latter <br />occurs, the employee's pay will be reduced accordingly. <br />C. The District shall continue the contributions of this section for at least <br />ninety (90) days for any employee who must be absent from work <br />because of injury, illness, or approved leave, including industrial leave. <br />D. The District will establish an account in each employee's name of $150 to <br />be used by the employee or his family on a reimbursable basis for <br />expenses paid by the employee for vision care services. Receipts must <br />be submitted to the Human Resource office before any reimbursement is <br />made. <br />2 <br />
