Holt, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />It is recommended that the Board of Directors approve Resolution Number 071102-A that <br />adopts the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into by the District and Service <br />Employees International Union (SEIU), and adjusts other employee benefits and salaries, <br />as outlined. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Attached is a copy of the full MOU between the District and SEIU. Those articles that were <br />changed or added are underlined. <br />The proposed MOU has been arrived at through the regular meet and confer process as <br />outlined in state law and as set out under the provision of District Resolution 6172-A. All <br />agreed-upon matters have been incorporated into the proposed MOU attached and have <br />been ratified by the employees. <br />The Articles in the MOU that were changed are: <br />ii lrelffffcl N4 :1 LTJ <br />The existing MOU expires on June 30, 2002. The term of the new MOU is three (3) <br />years and expires June 30, 2005. <br />Existing MOU <br />G. Effective the first full pay period in July, 2000 employees will receive a <br />three percent (3%) cost of living increase. <br />H.
