Despite
holding far more classes overall than last year, there is simply not enough space in the pool or time in the schedule
for more private lessons.
Borchard Community Center (BOC) cancelled 15 classes that were being offered for the first time, 10 classes held on
CVUSD campuses, and 23 other programs simply due to low enrollment. Similarly, Conejo Community Center (CCC)
cancelled 17 classes on CVUSD campuses; the majority of the other classes cancelled were evening programs such as
Parents Night Out (2), Draw and Paint Night (6), and Nerf & Pokémon Night (3). Dos Vientos Community Center
(DVC) cancelled various classes due to low enrollment as well.
Nearly every class canceled by the Outdoor Unit this session was offered by Goat Kidz.
Sports once again saw waitlists for leagues and classes in Pickleball (173), Tennis (47), and Golf (33).
Therapeutic Recreation (TR/OMC) had waitlists for its Kitchen Kapers programs (9) and its social programs (Dinner
& Movie, BBQ Social, Halloween Baking, Game Night, Santa Barbara Train Trip, Bowling, etc.)
Thousand Oaks Center (TOC) primarily had a waitlist for Haunted Trail (75) and then smaller waitlists for other classes
including sewing (15) which as limited machines available.
