building a specific park or facility is not typically listed in the Five -Year Strategic Plan as a Strategic Goal, but pursuing projects listed in the CIP is definitely an important `goal', or 'action item' implicit in the Strategic Plan and on staff's overall "To Do" list. The purpose of this agenda item and the following list of proposed goals is to provide the CRPD Board of Directors a list of some of the significant goals or action items that are consistent with the main CRPD Board policy documents including the District's Master Plan, FY 2023/24 and 2024/25 budgets and 10 -year CIP, and its Strategic Plan 2024-2028. During this discussion item, the Board will be asked to review the following list and offer any suggested additions, deletions, or modifications to the 2024 goals and objectives. The list is in no particular order, but the goals and objectives are lettered for ease of reference. As the year unfolds, unanticipated events, opportunities and challenges tend to arise which may cause a shift in priorities or focus. Historically, the CPRD Board of Directors and the CPRD organization have demonstrated the ability to adjust to short-term needs, address the challenges and opportunities, and return our focus to our long-term strategic efforts. Staff will use the ultimately approved 2024 Goals & Objectives along with the Five -Year Strategic Plan (2024-2028), operating and capital budget, and Master Plan to carry out the Board's direction - - - all while the field staff continue their hard work delivering quality parks, facilities, open spaces, recreation classes, programs & special events. As tradition holds, at the end of the year, staff will report back to the Board on the progress made via the Year -in -Review presentation to the Board and Annual Capital Improvement and Master Plan Update. 6.6 Annually update Strategic Plan ... review accomplishments, consider the upcoming year of actions, project, and priorities ....
