Conejo Recreation & Park District Recreation & Community Services Program Enrollment Summary Report 3 -Year Comparison: Summer 2023 Comments Report Dates: 05/21/2023-08/19/2023 Overall, enrollment across the division was nearly equal to the previous year, down just 2%. The focus on recovering a solid participant base after the COVID-19 pandemic has proven successful. As more opportunities continue to become available, the challenge facing staff will be to develop new, exciting, and innovative activities to ensure participants remain engaged and continue to enroll each session. The Dos Vientos Community Center (DVC) saw decreases Outdoor Core Strength & Stretch (-60), Dance Starz (-67), and Snapology (-132), as well as classes taught by DVC Staff (-109). The Goebel Adult Community Center (GACC) has begun enrolling participants for activities such as holiday parties and Entertainment Live! through CRPD's registration system, more accurately capturing patron activity throughout each session. A sold -out Neil Diamond Tribute performance and a summer Hawaiian Luau BBQ event each brought in hundreds of adults and seniors. Additionally, dance instruction classes have increased in enrollment across a variety of disciplines including ballroom, tap, and belly dance. Outdoor Recreation once again had a tremendous Summer Day Camp program, selling 255 more weeks of camp in total across its five programs. The Sports Department saw a decrease in enrollment primarily due to lower registration for Sports Camps possibly due to a greater number of opportunities in the community and the economic environment.
