Recreation Division Highlights Page 4 of 4 Revised 09.2023 Hillcrest Center for the Arts Elementary Music The Elementary Music program has begun for the 2023/24 school year fall session. This year band is offered on 12 campuses, strings is offered on 11 campuses, and chorus is offered on 18 campuses. We have 4 band instructors, 5 strings instructors, and 10 chorus instructors. Currently we have 203 in band, 203 in strings and 944 in chorus. Upcoming Events Hillcrest Players presents Tongue Twisted from October 14 and October 21 for 4 performances only. For tickets visit hillcrestarts.com, call HCFA, or visit the box office. Reign of Terror Haunted House will have chills running down your spine from September 29- November 4, 2023. There are special VIP, regular tickets, lights on tours, and one all lights out tour to fit your family’s needs best. A portion of the proceeds of the Reign of Terror Haunted House help support the Conejo Theatre for Everyone program. The annual Arts Council of Conejo Valley Jubilee highlighting their membership organizations for the public and featuring demonstrations and performances will be held on October 14, 2023 here at Hillcrest Center from 12- 4 pm. This is a free event open to the public. Conejo Community Center & Outdoor Unit McCrea Ranch On September 10 McCrea Ranch hosted a private tour for the Conejo Ski and Sports Club. Over 30 participants enjoyed touring the property with three of our docents. After their tours they enjoyed lunch on the deck with a question and answer with Wyatt McCrea. Preschool & Pre Kindergarten Our Preschool and Prekindergarten fall session started on Monday, August 28. We have preschool running Monday through Friday and prekindergarten running Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The preschool teacher, Ms. Tara, and prekindergarten teacher, Ms. Laurie, have had a great start, getting to know all the new faces.
