Public Hearing Preliminary Budget Fiscal Years 2023/24 – 2024125 <br />Proposed Operating Budgets Fiscal Years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 <br />Huffer opened the Public Hearing. <br />Smith reported that tonight's presentation would be focusing on the operating portion <br />of the budget. She reviewed the budget process and assumptions —including property <br />tax revenues going up 2.75% each year, maintenance of current full-time positions, and <br />inclusion of the impacts provided by the proposed employee Memorandum of <br />Understanding (MOU). She included details of upcoming challenges, which include <br />pension funding and a decrease in capital funds. Smith provided details of the General <br />Fund, Revenues and Expenditures and stated that the next step is to integrate Board <br />member's feedback, pair the two-year capital budget with the Capital Improvement <br />Plan and return a final budget recommendation to the Board at the next meeting on <br />June 15th. <br />Mary Lyman is in favor of adding pickleball courts; she would like to see shade <br />structures or a gazebo added to Rancho Conejo Playfields. <br />.0 <br />
