Contract for Landscape Services at Various Park Facilities in the amount of <br />$685,524 <br />Mooney reported that in November 2022, the Board approved Amendment #3 to the <br />contract with Azteca Landscape for Landscape Services, which terminated the contract <br />on December 31, 2022. Additionally, in November 2022, the Board approved temporary <br />landscape service contracts with Natural Green and Venco Western, on a month-to- <br />month basis. In preparation for the current Request for Proposals, staff comprehensively <br />reviewed the current contracts and refined the scope of work. Seven firms submitted <br />proposals and the staff evaluation committee interviewed four top proposers; Natural <br />Green is the recommended contractor based on staff's review. Staff has been pleased <br />with their work for the District so far. The contract, which will begin on July 1, 2023, is for <br />a five-year period with two optional one-year extensions. This contract will cost the <br />District $6,800 less per month than the current contract. <br />It was moved by Cusorth, seconded by Buss, and carried 5-0 to authorize General <br />Manager to enter into a Contract for Landscape Services with Natural Green in the <br />amount of $685,524 annually ($57,127 per month) for services at 48 parks <br />throughout the District. <br />contractTwo Contracts for Drought Response and Irrigation Services at Various Park <br />Facilities, each - amount notto exceed $200,000 Annually <br />Mooney reported that, with regard to drought response, the District plans to continue <br />efforts to redevelop prior turf removal areas and to seek new opportunities within the parks; <br />the goal is for the District to be ready for the next drought cycle. Two proposers responded <br />to the Request for Proposals. The evaluation committee reviewed both proposals and <br />recommends both Wildscape Restoration and FS Contractors be awarded contracts. <br />Flexibility will be provided to staff by having two different contractors on call for projects. <br />Each contract has a not to exceed amount of $200,000 annually. <br />It was moved by - • • • by . and carried 1 to: <br />amount1.
