Approval of Warrants <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $1,076, 426.61 - <br />Payroll $448,500.00 <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented. <br />A. Select External Financial Auditors — Authorize General Manager to sign a <br />Three -Year Agreement with Moss, Levy & Hartzheim, LLP in an amount <br />not to exceed $83,323 <br />Smith reported that, according to the District's best practices, it is considered <br />prudent to replace auditors every five years or so; the District has been with the <br />current auditors for four years. A request for proposals was sent to 17 auditing <br />firms. Two firms responded. After a thorough evaluation, staff determined Moss, <br />Levy & Hartzheim (MLH) to be the best choice based on their ability to provide <br />professional guidance, qualified staff and experience. MLH will be providing audit <br />services for both CRPD and the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority <br />(MBCA.) Smith introduced Bin Zeng of MLH, who expressed his appreciation for <br />the opportunity to work with CRPD and MBCA once again. <br />It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Nickles, and carried 5-0 to authorize <br />the General Manager to sign a three-year agreement with Moss, Levy & <br />Hartzheim LLP for external audit services. <br />
