Agreement with Thousand Oaks Titans Cricket Club for Use and Improvements at Pepper Tree Playfield Mooney stated the District's intention is to move and evolve with the changing needs of the community, which includes forming new partnerships with community groups. The Thousand Oaks Titans Cricket Club was formed in 2017; the District has been locally permitting fields to the Club at Peppertree Playfields since 2021. The cricket season is typically April — July, with play occurring on Saturdays and Sundays. This Club serves a broad age demographic (15-60 years old). Mooney described the field allocation and layout and reviewed the main points of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which is similar to other MOD's of this type. The agreement is for one year — essentially a trial run to make sure it is working on both sides. Assuming the partnership is a success, Mooney will come back to the Board in one year to request an extension. Mooney expressed excitement at the District's ability to offer another facility use to the community, and for the opportunity to work with the Thousand Oaks Titans Cricket Club. Yatin Patki President of the Club thanked CRPD staff for their assistance and is hoping the sport will grow within Ventura County. He and Dana Miller, CRPD Sports Supervisor, answered Board members questions. It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to Authorize General Manager to enter into an agreement with Thousand Oaks Titans Cricket Club (TO Titans). Resolution No. 030223-A Authorizing the Submittal of the Older Americans Act Grant Application to Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA) for Project Year July 1, 2023 — June 30, 2024 Callis reported this Resolution is necessary so as to allow staff to apply for the Older Americans Act Grant, which, if awarded, provides about $111,000 to the Senior Nutrition Program. This program serves about 60 patrons per day for lunch in the Goebel Caf6.
