Recreation & Community Services <br />Recreation Division Highlights Page 1 of 5 Revised 02.2023 <br /> <br />Recreation Division Highlights <br />Thursday, February 23, 2023 <br /> <br />Hillcrest Center for the Arts <br />Theatre Shows <br />We have hosted three weekends of sold-out shows to Disney’s Descendants and there is a fabulous review in the Acorn for the week of February 17, from theatre reviewer Cary Ginell. <br />The Hillcrest Players Camp Courage shows will be held on March 18 and March 25. Tickets are online for purchase now for this limited 4 show run of performers ages 7-14. <br />Spring Elementary Music <br />Currently over 1,582 students are registered in the Spring Elementary Music Programs. They are practicing for the All-District Music Festivals which will be held in April and May. <br />Hanging With the Best <br />The halls at the Hillcrest Center currently feature Hanging With the Best, a curated show of local student talent featuring over 150 pieces of art. The display is in multiple formats including, photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, and fashion designs. The Arts Council of Conejo Valley (ACCV) will be hosting a reception and awards ceremony on the evening of February 28, in the Community Room to honor these talented youth. <br /> <br />Goebel Adult Community Center <br />Super Bowl Sunday <br />The annual Super Bowl Party was held on Sunday February 12. The center hosted 60 guests who were served food, drinks, and sweet treats. The room was festive with football themed decorations and plating. Before the game, football focused movies were shown for guests. Everyone enjoyed the game and socializing with one another. <br />
