<br />October 6, 2022 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Graeme Watts, Newbury Park, expressed his desire that CRPD take a more visible role in <br />publicizing the “988” Suicide and Crisis Hotline and to share this direction with sister <br />agencies. <br /> <br />Friedl announced the need for a Closed Session and Cusworth adjourned the Regular Meeting to <br />an Executive Closed Session. <br /> <br />Cusworth returned and called the Regular Meeting back to order 8:02 pm <br /> <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented <br /> <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />A. Approval of Minutes of September 8, 2022, Special Board Meeting <br /> <br /> B. Approval of Warrants <br /> Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $1,074,313.16 <br /> Payroll $983,200.00 <br /> <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Nickles, and carried 5-0 to approve the Consent <br />Calendar as amended, i.e., a change to the September 8th Meeting Minutes, “2002” to <br />“2022” on page one. <br /> <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br /> <br />8. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br /> Smith gave a PowerPoint presentation entitled “Purchasing Process and Oversight,” which <br />included a review of CRPD’s Purchasing Policy, payment procedures, Board oversight and <br />examples from other agencies’ and what they provide in Board agendas. Smith answered <br />Board member’s questions and discussion ensued. The consensus was to leave all the <br />reporting as is for the moment; it is an issue that the Finance and Audit Committee may want <br />to address in the future. <br /> <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Amendment #2 to Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Conejo Disc <br />Golf Club (CDGC) for Use of Rabbit Flats and Sapwi Disc Golf Courses.
