Braff emphasized the importance of the Teen <br />Volunteer Program to the staff and the programs at the Center. Braff and Cano reviewed the <br />Volunteer application and interview process and outlined how the volunteers help from day one <br />of the summer programs. This year, in a show of appreciation for the volunteers, staff at the <br />Center held an interview and resume workshop for them. Keeping the volunteers motivated is <br />important; mid -summer and end -of -summer parties were held. The program strengthens a <br />teen's sense of community and responsibility and has become a feeder program for future <br />CRPD staff. In the summer of 2022, there were 28 volunteers representing a total of 1,763 <br />volunteer hours. 2022 "Volunteer of the Year" winner Isabelle "Izzy" Cipriano was introduced; <br />she shared her volunteer experiences and was congratulated for her award.
