Recreation Division Highlights Page 2 of 4 Revised 11.2021 <br />Thousand Oaks Teen Center <br />Fall Sports Leagues <br /> <br />The Thousand Oaks Teen Center’s Fall Sport Leagues recently concluded with several playoff and championship games that packed the gymnasium to near capacity. We received a number of <br />compliments from players and parents alike. Most teens have not had the opportunity to compete in an organized, competitive league since the start of the pandemic. Our cooperative relationship <br />with CVUSD enabled us to deliver this experience. The Teen Center, as well as all CRPD leagues, value sportsmanship above winning. We are looking forward to our Winter Leagues starting up in <br />late January. <br />Aquatic Recreation <br />Staffing Update <br />We successfully certified four new Lifeguard <br />Training Instructors who are now able to help <br />our unit train the next batch of incoming <br />lifeguards for the 2022 summer season. <br />The application period for Lifeguards and Swim <br />Instructors for the 2022 summer season will <br />begin in January. <br /> <br />
