November 4, 2021 <br />Page 4 <br />events using the large outdoor movie screen. The first will be on Friday, December <br />17thatBorchard Community Center and the second will be on Wednesday, December <br />29thatThousand Oaks Community Center. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Smith reported the Audit is being wrapped up and a meeting of the Finance and Audit <br />Committee will be held on December 17th. New OSHA regulations were released today; <br />Human Resources Supervisor Howell is working on implementation. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl thanked all those who made this afternoon's tour of Sapwi Trails Community Park <br />so much fun. There will likely be a mandatory 25% reduction in water use if the area <br />does not get some significant rainfall in the upcoming months. This Saturday, Brian <br />Hynes will be holding the Borderline "Party in the Park" at Conejo Creek North; tickets <br />are available to purchase online. On Sunday, the Thousand Oaks Mayor and members <br />of the Interfaith Community will be holding a "Day of Remembrance" at the Healing <br />Garden at 1:00pm. The Park Naming Committee met on November 1st and will have a <br />report for the Board in the near future. <br />E. Directors Reports and Follow-up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Huffer enjoyed the ribbon cutting at the Dog Park and the Groundbreaking at Conejo Creek <br />Southwest (CCSW). He attended the Haunted Trail and was a part of the Pickleball Ad <br />Hoe Committee and Park Naming Committee meetings. Holt attended the Pickleball Ad <br />Hoc Committee meeting and a Conejo Coalition for Youth and Families meeting. Cusworth <br />attended the Haunted Trail with her granddaughter. She is thoroughly enjoying the various <br />speaker series being offered locally, including Larry Janss at the Goebel Center, Richard <br />Senate at the Stagecoach Inn, and Botanic Garden speakers (via zoom) by the Conejo <br />Open Space Foundation. On November 13th, the Chumash Museum is having a Wildlife <br />Day. On November 19th, the Stagecoach Inn is having a California Night; there will be a <br />Taco Truck, Heritage Oak Raffle, and the film "The Mark of Zorro," staring Tyrone Power, <br />will be shown. At the end of October, Lange attended a special Mountains Recreation and <br />Conservation Authority (MBCA) meeting and yesterday he attended a regular MRCA <br />meeting. He also attended, online, the Agoura Hills State of the City event hosted by the <br />Chamber of Commerce. Nickles stopped by the Lynn Oaks Public Outreach meeting on <br />October 23rd and enjoyed the interesting public input. He attended the Haunted Trail, Dog <br />Park Ribbon Cutting, and CCSW Groundbreaking. He was in Roseville attending the <br />California Association of Recreation and Park Districts (CARPD) Board meeting on <br />October 28thand 29thandshared some information from that gathering. The 2022 CARPD <br />Annual Conference will be held in South Lake Tahoe from May 18th — 21 st. C S DA <br />Legislative Days will be May 17th _18th in Sacramento.
