Project Bidding <br />On September 16, 2021, the Board of Directors rejected all bids of the previously bid project and authorized <br />staff to rebid the project after appropriate adjustments to the contract documents were made to provide <br />additional clarity to bidders. <br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised in the Thousand Oaks Acorn, Construction Bidboard, Inc., Builder's <br />Notebook, Ventura County Contractor's Association, Inc., and posted on the District website. Ten interested <br />bidders attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting held at the sites on Tuesday, October 5th. Bidders attending <br />the previously held July 27th mandatory pre-bid meeting were not required to attend. Ten bids were received <br />and were opened at 9:00am on Monday, October 25th. The bid tabulation summary is attached (Attachment 2). <br />Staff is recommending providing a project with (A) Teen Center Exterior Improvements, (B) Teen Center Interior <br />Improvements, (C) Adult Center Exterior Improvements, (D) Adult Center Interior Dmprovements, (E) Bid <br />Alternates #1A, 1 B, 1 C, 1 D, 1 E, 1 F, 1 G Various Flooring and Wall Treatment, (F) Alternate #2 Adult Center <br />Room Partitions and (G) Alternate #3 Adult Center Fitness Area. these center improvements will provide a <br />significant upgrade to the existing facilities. <br />The low bad received from Solex Construction, Inc. meets aIB the required specifications. Solex Construction is <br />a qualified Contractor with a B — Genera,e Building Contractor license and has performed projects of similar size <br />and scope with other agencies.
