City of Thousand Oaks Grant and Project Information <br />In an effort to provide a significant benefit to the community, the City of Thousand Oaks included <br />a $1,500,000 grant to the District for the development of Conejo Creek Southwest in their current <br />fiscal year budget. <br />The Conejo Creek Southwest Park will provide much needed parkland for various nearby <br />neighborhoods - the development of the 14.1 acres of Conejo Creek Southwest Park will reduce <br />the current 14.8 neighborhood park acreage deficiency in Planning Area 12 of Community <br />Planning Zone IV. Furthermore, potential future residential development along Thousand Oaks <br />Boulevard will be served by Conejo Creek Southwest Park. <br />The City of Thousand Oaks Council will consider thEk. attached grant agreement at their September <br />287 2021 meeting. <br />The project includes the development of a neighborhood park on vacant land with a restroom, <br />small parking lot, native and drought -tolerant landscaping, vegetated drainage swale, Chumash- <br />themed playground, fitness nodes with rubber surfacing, multi -use walking paths, shade <br />structures, and other various park amenities. <br />Improvement project plans are available for Board review and approval at <br />www.crPdorq/ccswPIans. <br />Projo.a.ict Bidding <br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised in the Thousand Oaks Acorn, Construction Bidboard, Inc., <br />Builder's Notebook, Ventura County Contractor's Association, Inc., and posted on the District <br />website. Twenty-one interested bidders attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting held at the site <br />on Tuesday, July 27. Marina <br />Landscape is a qualified Contractor, with an A — General Engineering, B — General Building, and <br />C-27 — Landscaping Contractor licenses as well as other specialty licenses, and has performed <br />projects of similar size and scope including various park development and improvement projects. <br />
