Youth Outreach Summary Report Page 2 of 6 Revised 07.2021 <br />SCHOOL REPORT <br />Activities Conducted by Youth Outreach Staff each Month: <br />• Continued recruitment process of CVUSD students that could benefit from Youth Outreach services. <br />• Recruitments are referred by CVUSD administrators, counselors, and Youth Outreach staff. <br />• Provided supervision and support for students during Cohort A & B at the Teen Center. <br />• Provided Zoom group meetings with Outreach students. <br />• Connected with school administrators and school counselors. <br />• Sent revised parent/student permission forms to schools. <br />• Communication of Youth Outreach scope of services. <br />• Sent out fillable parent permission slip online to parents. <br />Additional Tasks Completed <br />• Provided an updated Cycles for Success bike request form to school administrators and counselors. <br />• Provided bikes, locks, and helmets to needy teens referred by school counselors through Cycles for Success. <br />• Worked with Middle School counselors to recruit students for the summer camp sponsored by the Safe Passage <br />Youth Foundation <br />• Developed Summer camp registration and medical form and began to map out camp curriculum, schedule outing <br />reservations, and order supplies. <br />• Finalize two-week camp details. <br />• Lead camp, June 21-July 2 9am-3pm for 20 middle schoolers. <br /> <br />Current Scope of Services <br />• Follow up with students from 2020-2021 School <br />Year. <br />• Youth Outreach Zoom Small Groups. <br />• Small Group In-Person Support for High-Risk <br />Students. <br />• Remote Learning under supervision of Youth <br />Outreach at Teen Center. <br />• Cycles for Success Program. <br />• Working with High School and Middle School <br />Counselors. <br />• Helping students with public transportation to <br />attend Cohort and small groups. <br />• Supporting teens with homework and how to access <br />free tutorial sites. <br />• Maintaining communication with students, parents, <br />teachers, and school counselors to ensure students <br />are up to date with assignments and homework. <br />• Helping students adjust to online learning and <br />returning back to the classroom and how to make <br />new goals. <br />• Spending time on specific needs and wellbeing for <br />physical and emotional wellness. <br />• Working with community partners to keep supplies <br />updated. <br />• Communicating all the benefits of the Youth <br />Outreach program with parents. <br />• Helping students with time management, study <br />skills and healthy habits. <br />• Allowing students to share how COVID-19 has <br />impacted their life and other obstacles during <br />remote learning classroom breaks, zoom and small <br />groups. <br />• Creating a school like environment for online <br />learning at the Teen Center with structure and <br />rules. <br />• While following health screenings, check in <br />procedures and wellness, we are creating a safe, <br />clean area for students to learn. <br />• Work on summer camp curriculum. <br />
