June 3, 2021 <br />Page 8 <br />r -_ <br />Friedl thanked Smith for her stellar presentation of the two-year budget report this <br />evening. He stated there will be a need for an Executive Closed Session this <br />evening with no report expected. The District is getting inundated with requests for <br />volunteer opportunities; staff is looking at coming up with specific and deliberate <br />large scale volunteer projects. Regarding agenda management, it is possible there <br />will be an opportunity to cancel the July 1St Board meeting; this can be addressed <br />at the next Board meeting on June 17tH <br />r' • • • • • • • A1111- '• • • • • • • <br />Cusworth attended the VCSDA meeting on Tuesday and was grateful for Hare's <br />presence there. She thoroughly enjoyed the Memorial Day Concert. She attended <br />the Stagecoach Inn Museum Zoom presentation on the history of movies in the <br />Conejo Valley. Cusworth reported the McCrea Ranch hopes to resume movie <br />nights soon and the Cowboy Cookout is currently scheduled for October. Lange <br />was grateful for all the extra work that was necessary to present the Memorial Day <br />concert. Nickles attended the Memorial Day Concert and expressed kudos to <br />CRPD for its execution. He attended, via zoom, a portion of May 25th City Council <br />meeting. On June 1St he had a tour of the Hill Canyon Bridge site from Brian Stark, <br />Anna Huber and Matt Kouba. On Tuesday he attended a California Association of <br />Recreation and Park Districts (CARPD) Board Retreat via zoom; during that <br />meeting, an application for membership from the Mid -Peninsula Regional Open <br />Space District was approved unanimously. Registration for the upcoming CARPD <br />Annual Conference is up to 80 participants. <br />Cusworth would like to see staff come back to the Board with potential sites for potential <br />pickleball courts sometime in the next two months. <br />CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS -Pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54957.6 —District Representatives: General Manager Friedl, Management Services <br />Administrator Smith, Relative to Labor Negotiations with Service Employees International <br />Union (SEIU) (Represented Employees) and Salary Schedules and Fringe Benefits for <br />Unrepresented Employees <br />
