Adopt Resolution 061721-C to Approve the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Conejo <br />Community Park and Center Improvements. <br />2. Authorize General Manager to enter into Amendment #2 to the contract with Andrew <br />Goodwin Designs in the total amount of $409,862 for Phase 4 of environmental, landscape <br />architectural, and architectural services for Conejo Community Park and Center <br />Improvements. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Environmental Review (CEQA Process): <br />The District was required to complete an Initial Study to evaluate possible environmental impacts <br />of project implementation. The Initial Study found that a Mitigated Negative Declaration was the <br />appropriate level of CEQA environmental review documentation. <br />On May 3, 2021, the Draft Initial Study/Mitigated legative Declaration (IS/MND) was circulated <br />with a 30 -day public comment period via a mailer to neighboring resident:/property owners, <br />interested parties, and it was available for review both at District headquarters and online. Also <br />notified of the IS/MND's availability were the California State Clearinghouse, all applicable federal, <br />state, and local agencies, and any party who previously requested to be noticE.:.kd. <br />From the close of the public comment period on June 2, 2021, a Final Initial Study/Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration was prepared.
