CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />April 15,2021 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />Nickles called the meeting to order at 6:01 pm and Lange led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Holt, Huffer, Lange, Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: Acting General Manager Hare, Administrators Callis, and Smith <br />(via Zoom), Executive Assistant Reynders, and IT Assistant <br />Bermudez <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Dos Vientos Community Center — Modified Programming during COVID <br />Rick Tanaka, Recreation Supervisor, Dos Vientos Community Center (DVC) <br />reviewed how the DVC team dealt with the challenges faced during the COVID 19 <br />pandemic. He highlighted the QuaranTEAM program, Preschool/Pre-K, Westlake <br />Senior Programs, Pop -Ups, and the partnership with Rancho Potrero. The team's <br />strong desire to meet the needs of the community, along with the creativity of team <br />members, was instrumental in continuing to address patron's needs while adhering <br />to public health guidelines. Tanaka expressed appreciation for the Board member's <br />support over the years. He answered Board member's questions and was thanked <br />for his informative presentation. <br />�Ikl :j :j 11 11111�l, A <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />agenda as amended, i.e., removing New Items 913, 9C and 9D from the agenda <br />and continuing them to the next Board meeting on May 6, 2021. <br />
