Approval To Execute Annual Lease Renewal With Ride On <br />Sorensen noted the presence of Byran McQueeney, Executive Director of <br />Ride On. <br />McQueeney highlighted recent events and challenges, praised the <br />professionalism of the Therapeutic staff, invited everyone to witness the <br />progress of site improvements and programs, discussed program expansion, <br />discussed the September 8 benefit dinner sponsored by David Murdock, <br />CEO of Dole, and expressed appreciation for the District's support and <br />leadership. <br />Board members commended the program, requested more information on <br />fundraising efforts and volunteer opportunities, and urged expanding <br />community awareness. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to authorize <br />staff to execute the submitted annual lease renewal with Ride On for <br />$40 per year. <br />A. Adoption Of Resolution Number 080201-13, A Resolution Declaring <br />District -Owned Properties Surplus Land And Declaring Intent To Sell <br />Parcels 669-"10-305 (155 East Wilbur Road) And 667-0-120-380 <br />(Rancho Conejo Boulevard) <br />Sorensen provided background information relative to the District -owned <br />building at 155 East Wilbur Road, the District's current office, and the 3.12 - <br />acre District -owned parcel within the Conejo Ridge Business Park in Rancho <br />Conejo, and stated that the District is in compliance with the California <br />Government Code for sale of surplus public property. He stated that the <br />Rancho Conejo property has no present or contemplated public use; and the <br />Wilbur property will be of no use to the District once the District moves its <br />offices to 401 Hillcrest. <br />Jacobsen requested that in the future a site map be provided. <br />Sorensen said that the District regularly receives notices of sale of surplus <br />land, and in response to Gibson's inquiry, Sorensen said that in September <br />staff will return to the Board for consideration of a request for sale of the <br />properties. Ward said that the Hill Canyon debt has been satisfied. <br />
