August 2, 2001 <br />Page 3 <br />Jorgensen invited questions. <br />In response to Board inquiries, staff explained financial procedures, and said <br />that each supervisor is responsible for approximately 180 acres; the Grounds <br />Supervisor position will be funded 50 percent by Dos Vientos Assessment <br />District 94-1; Dial Security has been employed for supervision purposes at <br />the skateboard park to ensure that all rules and regulations, especially the <br />use of appropriate gear, are being observed; the budget revenue figures <br />reflect the expected addition of new programs in the Outdoor Unit and the <br />Conejo Community Center; the projected expenses for the operation of 401 <br />Hillcrest are included in Park Place expenditures; relative to - Conejo <br />Community Park, one play area has been completely replaced, the second <br />play area is a carryover Capital Project, and staff is seeking an appropriate <br />grant opportunity; in terms of playground inspections and swing clearance, all <br />playground sites are now in conformance with required state safety <br />standards; the majority of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance <br />upgrades have been completed; the $5,000 community garden ' -capital <br />improvement expenditure is a carryover item and is for fencing. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 * to adopt <br />Resolution Number 080201 A, a resolution adopting the Fiscal Year <br />2001-2002 Final Budget for the District; that it be read in title only and all <br />further readings be waived. <br />Ward stated that the COSCA (Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency) <br />budget was reviewed by the COSCA Board of Directors and incorporated in <br />the City of Thousand Oaks budget, and it is staff recommendation to adopt <br />the budget. <br />It was moved by Holt, <br />the combined City an <br />amount of $863,916. <br />8.
