Board of Directors -2- July 30, 2001
for sale to the general public. If one of these government agencies had an interest
in acquiring the land, the District would enter into good faith negotiations to
determine a mutually satisfactory sales price or lease term. If terms could not be
agreed to within 60 days, the District could then dispose of the property in the open
market.
At the time and place fixed for hearing of objections to the sale, if no protests are
received, or if the Board decides to overrule such protests, the Board of Directors
could then adopt a Resolution Ordering the Sale of surplus property, either through
a public bid process, or if the Board of Directors determined that the public interest
would not be furthered by that process, the property could then be sold on the open
market.
Recommendation
Adopt Resolution # 080201-B declaring the specified District -owned properties
"Surplus Land" and declaring the District's intent to sell parcels 669-0-010-305
(155 East Wilbur Road) and 667-0-120-380 (Rancho Conejo Boulevard).
Respectfully
Tom Soren5en, Administrator
Parks and Planning
